Work a chain of 9 if you prefer to use a chain instead. Work the pattern according to the instructions.

Sole and Sides
Round 1: Side 1- Make 8 foundation half double crochet. Work 4 Half Double Crochet in the same stitch. Side 2- Work 1 HDC in each of the next 6 stitches. Work 4 HDC in the last stitch. Join with the beginning stitch. (22 Half Double Crochet Total)

Amigurumi Shape Playlist

The playlist shows some of the basic shapes that could be used in the construction of amigurumi animals and larger stuffed toys. The Japanese use a smaller hook and thread/yarn to create the fine detail of the small animals. From the feedback I get, I have found that the word is often associated with any stuffed animal.


Wheel Stitch Square Baby Afghan Complete

It took me a couple of months but I have completed the Wheel Stitch Square Baby Afghan. I used the front post crochet stitch, which creates a textured lip effect around each wheel. The afghan is right at 33 inches/83.8 centimeters across.
