Skill Level - Advanced

Abbreviations
DC - Double Crochet
HDC - Half Double Crochet
CH - Chain
SL ST - Slip Stitch

Materials
Size H/5 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle

There are a couple of ways to make the dress larger or smaller.
1. You can change the hook size to an E,G, or I.
2. You can add a couple more stitches to the under arm of the yoke. You could use 6 or 7 chains or chainless foundations stitch if you wanted to make the chest larger.

The chain can be used instead of the chainless foundation.

40 Chainless HDC or 42 Chains, HDC in each chain.

The foundation row was not counted as a row in the video. It is a row, however I am leaving the instructions so they match the video.

Row 1: CH 1, this will not count as a stitch, *HDC in next ST, 2 HDC in next ST, continue across from *, turn  (60 half double crochet)

Row 2: CH 1, this will not count as a stitch, HDC in ea ST across, turn    (60 half double crochet)

Row 3: CH 1, this will not count as a stitch, *Hdc in next ST, 2 HDC in next ST, continue across from *, turn   (90 half double crochet)

Row 4-5: CH 1, this will not count as a stitch, HDC in ea ST across, turn

Row 6: CH 1, this will not count as a stitch, *HDC in next 2 STs, 2 HDC in next st, continue across from *, turn    (120 half double crochet)

Row 7: Add a marker to the 40th stitch from each edge. CH 1, this will not count as a stitch,  HDC across next 16 Sts(Back Right),5 Chainless HDC ,SK 24 HDC(Right Arm Hole), HDC Across Front leaving the remaining 40 Sts for the left arm hole and back,5 Chainless HDC ,SK 24(Left Arm Hole), HDC across 16 Sts(Left Back). NOTE*- You can use a chain 5 if you are not familiar with the chainless foundation stitches.  Join with the first HDC.

This is an extra row, which will be slightly different from the original knot dress.

Row 8:  Chain 1, this will not count as a stitch. Work 1 HDC in each stitch around. There is no count for the round.  This is the flexibility of crochet as the number of stitches does not matter.

Row 9:  2 Solomon's Knot, SK 2 HDC, SC in next, continue around. Join: Work one knot stitch, insert the hook through the base of the previous stitch, pull up to secure.  You will end at the top center of the stitch.

Round 10 - :  *sc on each side of the center of previous knot. 2 Knots, SC on each side of previous knot. Work in a continual round for length of project.  Join: Work one knot stitch, insert the hook through the base of the previous stitch, pull up to secure.  You will end at the top center of the stitch.

The length of the dress is flexible.
