Abbreviations
DC - Double Crochet
CH - Chain
SL ST - Slip Stitch

Materials
Size I/5.5 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle
Chenille Wire or Pipe Cleaner

Chain 5, join
Round 1:  CH 1, 3 DC, Chain 8, 3 DC, CH 5, 3 DC, CH 5, 3 DC, CH 8, join with the first stitch. SL ST to the center DC. 

Round 2: Work 8 DC in the chain loop, , Work 8 DC in the chain loop.  *SL ST in center DC.  In the next CH 5 loop, work 5 DC, CH 3, SL ST in same stitch, Work 5 DC in same chain, complete twice from *.  SL ST in center DC.  Work 8 DC in the chain loop, , Work 8 DC in the chain loop. Sl ST in center DC, cut yarn, pull through. 

Wrap and shape wire around center.  Shape antenna.

If you don't have wire available, you can cut several strands together, tie to center.  Separate strands at top and knot for antenna.  See image above for example.
