Skill Level - Easy

Abbreviations
SC - Single Crochet
CH - Chain
SL ST - Slip Stitch

FLO - Front Loop Only
SC DEC FLO - Single Crochet Decrease Front Loop Only

FLO - There are two loops at the top of the stitch. You will work in the front loop.  This is the FLO of Front Loop Only.

SC DEC FLO - Insert your hook through the front loop only, wrap the yarn over, pull it through.  Insert your hook through the next stitch FLO, wrap the yarn over, pull it through.  There are 3 loops on your hook, wrap the yarn over pull through all 3 loops.  This completes the single crochet decrease through the front loop only.  Each single crochet decrease will count as one single crochet.  We are reducing two stitches, down to one stitch.

Materials
Size G/4.25 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle

Chain 3, join
Round 1:  Work 9 SC through the chain, do not join, work in continual round.
Round 2: Work 2 SC in each stitch around (18 Single Crochet total)
Round 3-6: Work 1 SC in each stitch around (18 Single Crochet total)
Round 7: *Work 1 SC, Work a SC DEC, FLO (12 Single Crochet Total) 
Round 8-9: 1 SC in each stitch around.  (12 Single Crochet Total) 
Round 10: *Work 1 SC in next stitch, in the next work SC DEC FLO, repeat from * (8 Single Crochet Total) 
Round 11: Work 4 SC DEC FLO, this is to close up the round and form the point.   This round may be challenging.  If you are unable to work the decrease stitches, stop and sew the remaining stitches shut at the top.  Upon completion, sew any gaps or holes shut on the end.

Leaf - 6 total (you can work more or less if you prefer)
*Work a chain 7, work 1 SC in each of the next 3 chains, work 1 HDC in each of the next 3 chains, continue working from * starting with the Chain 7. There will be a total of 6 leaves.  Upon completion, join with a slip stitch at the base of the first leave.

Weave the yarn through the base of the stitches, pull the opening until it closes up.  Sew the leaves to the top of the strawberry.

Sew in all the tails.

Materials
Size I/5.5 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle


Half Double Crochet

  1. Wrap the yarn over your hook, insert your hook below the two loops at the top of the stitch.  
  2. Wrap the yarn over the hook, pull through
  3. Wrap the yarn over your hook, pull through all 3 loops

If you are familiar with the foundation stitch, you can start off with a row of 42 foundation half double crochet.

16 inches by 5 inches across
10 inches by 5 inches with the folds

Work a chain of 43.

Row 1: Work 1 HDC in each stitch across, turn

Row 2-11: CH 1, this chain 1 will not count as a stitch, only the step to the next row.  Work 1 HDC in each stitch across.


Sewing the sides




  1. You will count back 7 stitches and fold them on top, on each side.
  2. You will sew the sides together, knotting well at the starting points
  3. Upon completion, knot, secure and hide the tails.


You will easily be able to slip the cover over your Swiffer Sweeper.

Abbreviations
SC - Single Crochet
DC - Double Crochet
HDC - Half Double Crochet

Front Post Double Crochet - FPDC
Wrap the yarn over the hook, put the hook between the stitch, around to the back, to the front.
Wrap the yarn over, pull through to the fron, yarn over pull through two loops, yarn over pull through two loops.

Materials
Size G/4.25 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle


Gauge 4 inches = 16 stitches x 18 rows
This the gauge using a size G crochet hook, which will be different from the video.  The video is using a lager crochet hook.

Size - The dress size is for a 3-12 month baby, just by changing the size of your crochet hook.  If you want to make the dress even larger, increase the size of the starting chain with 3-5 extra stitches.  You will need to adjust the back sections as well.

Row 1: Work 1 Single Crochet in each stitch across turn. (22 single crochet total)
Row 2-5: Work 1 SC in each stitch across, turn  (22 single crochet total)
Row 6: Work 1 SC, 2 SC in next, 1 SC in ea of next 18, 2 SC in next, 1 SC in next, turn (24 single crochet total)
Row 7: Work 1 SC in each stitch across, turn  (24 single crochet total)
Row 8: Work 1 SC, 2 SC in next, 1 SC in ea of next 20, 2 SC in next, 1 SC in next, turn (26 single crochet total)
Row 9: Work 1 SC in each stitch across, turn  (26 single crochet total)

Row 6: Work 1 SC in ea of the next 9 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch, 1 SC in next, turn.   (12 Single Crochet Total)
Row 7: Work 1 SC in each single crochet across, turn.   (12 Single Crochet Total)
Row 8: Work 1 SC in ea of the next 10 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch, 1 SC in next, turn.   (13 Single Crochet Total)
Row 9: Work 1 SC in each single crochet across, turn.   (13 Single Crochet Total)
Row 10: Work 1 SC in ea of the next 11 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch, 1 SC in next, turn.   (14 Single Crochet Total)

Do not cut the last back, you will turn.  Now we will be working in rounds. Rounds is where the back is connected so we are working in one big circle.  The sections will be joined by the first single crochet on the underarm area.

Round 14:  Work 1 SC across Top Back in each of the 15 single crochet, Work 1 SC across Top Front in each of the 30 single crochet, 2nd Top Back work 1 SC in each of the 15 single crochet.  Join with the first stitch.  (60 single crochet total)
Round 15:  Chain 1, Work 1 SC in each stitch around. Join.   (60 single crochet total)

Round 16: Ch 1, this will not count as a stitch, only the step up on each round. Work a DC in the same stitch, skip a stitch, work a shell in the next stitch of 2DC, CH 1, 2DC all in the same stitch. *Skip a stitch, Work 1 DC in the next stitch, Skip a stitch, work 2DC, CH 1, 2DC all in the same stitch. Continue around from *.  Join with the first stitch when you get back around to the beginning. ( 15 shell, 15 Double Crochet)

Round 17- 30: Ch 1, this will not count as a stitch, only the step up on each round. *Work a FPDC around the DC(see description above). In the next chain 1 space work a shell(2DC, CH1, 2DC). Join with the beginning stitch. ( 15 shell, 15 Front Post Double Crochet)

You can continue with the length for a longer dress. Wrap the yarn over, pull through, cut the yarn, give it a tug to secure.

Strap - Make 2
On the right side, attach the yarn on the edge.  On the left side, you will attach the yarn, 6 stitches from the left.  

Row 1-17: Work 1 SC in each of the next 6 stitches, turn.  Upon completing, cut an extra length.  You will sew the stitches to the back side, matching the 6 stitches.

Button Loop - Chain 11, join.  Work 1 Slip Stitch in each chain around.  You will sew this to the left side.  The size can easily be modified for different size buttons.

Crochet Button
Chain 2, work 6 SC through the 2nd chain.
Round 2: Work 2 SC in each stitch around
Round 3: Work 1 SC in the back loop only. 
Cut a long length of yarn. Weave the yarn through the last round of stitches. Pull snug. Knot and secure.
Sew to the right upper side of the dress.
