My sister, brother and I had spent some years in foster care, but one year as my father was working to get custody of us, we got to spent Christmas with him. Unfortunately, he didn't have any Christmas decorations. So I got used a 20 oz soda bottle and glued strips of green yarn to it. My sister and I decorated that tree with what we could. Even though there was only 3 presents under that "tree", we had a most awesome Christmas with our family and our creativity. We all still reminisce about the Christmas I made the tree. :)
100 Snowflakes to Crochet was sent to me from St. Martin's Griffin, by Caitlin Sainio. I am going to give one of you a chance to win the book. I wish I could give a book to everyone. However Barnes and Noble has it listed at a great price.
It has a lot of great symbol and written instructions. Very well done and spaced on each page. I would have bought this book 30 years ago, as it fits in with the type of instructions that I bought back then when I was learning to crochet. I am a fan of thread and will recommend this book for beginners. Remember, my mom taught me to crochet with a thread crochet snowflake.
I will be doing a drawing from the comments left here on my crochet blog, on October 1st, 3 weeks from now. Please make sure you include an email or have contact available through your Google Profile so I can notify you, should you be selected.
