  1. Hi Teresa, I followed your videos a few weeks ago when I began crocheting and have just completed my first project- the hobo bag (that is if you don't include the vast array of swatches I made whilst learning that have been stitched together to make the most random- but oddly pretty- afghan you have ever seen lol! I loved it! I wonder if you can give me some advice on hooks? I bought a cheap set of hooks to learn with but as they are cheap I find that the hook end is really shallow and so the stitches can slip off quite easily- this is mega frustrating and the hook and yarn has been launched across the room a few times :O. I have been looking around for a new set of hooks and have come across bamboo hooks. I noticed you don't use them but the hook end seems to have a deep crevice that I assume will help with the slipping stitches. What do you think of them?

Thanks for all your great videos!

    1. I have never used bamboo hooks so I would not be able to make a recommendation for how they work.

  2. I am so glad to have found this site (OK...I owe it to Google). I'm a lefty and the left-handed video tutorials are terrific! I learned the basics mirroring the nun who taught our sixth grade class. After a couple of failed attempts at making baby blankets (OK...I got lazy), I gave up for almost 20 years. The tutorials are much easier than trying to mirror a rightie, so THANK YOU!

  3. Theresa,
Thank you for the wonderful videos. My grandmother taught me to crochet, many years ago. Recently I started crocheting again, it has probably been 25 years since I have.
Like riding a bike, I picked it back up again and your videos helped me to remember things I had forgotten. And the tips answered questions I could never figure out. I also am learning a new stitch or two.
I learned from my grandmother who learned from hers. Thank you for passing on the tradition.
