Crochet Hook Grip Modification - Flexi Wrap



This will provide another way to modify your crochet hook using pencil grips and flexi wrap. The flexi wrap can be found in the first aid section of any pharmacy. A variety of pencil grips can be found in the office supply section of many stores.

  5. Very cool, thanks! I had heard of using pencil grips, but could only think of wrapping with duct tape or masking tape. I guess that's why I haven't done any hooks yet, because I didn't want all that adhesive on my hooks!

  8. I've found the pencil grips to be a bit too large for me, they make crocheting awkward. Instead, I use black electrical tape to make my aluminum hooks from moving around. I simply wrap one layer around the thumb rest, and then about 4-5 layers around the handle, making a sort of bulge in the middle & using fewer layers away from the center.

  9. a Good way to get the flex wrap cheaper is at your animal supply store or feed and tack stores. Its called vetwrap there and it comes in a huge assortment of colors! you can color coordinate lol.. hope this helps save some money the medical stuff is processed more and more sterile but that isnt as
