what do you mean at the start of round 2, 3, etc to slip stitch to next stitch?
ReplyDeletecs9295 - Slip stitching is going over to the next stitch, with a low profile stitch. The first stitch on each segment is skipped. This helps create a gradual curve.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome.
That's gorgeous! Thanks so much for posting this pattern!

I like the pattern better than any I've seen elsewhere, Ravelry included. However, from round four onward, you keep saying to "Work 3 DC in the next CH 2 space", when the previous row had no Ch2's. So, which is the error? Are the first chains supposed to be only 2, or are they correct as written and the instruction from round four onward should read: Work 3 DC in the next CH 3 space?
ReplyDeleteI've finished round four, but am undecided about continuing (i.e. investing more time) if I'll only have to rip it back to change those ch3's into ch2's.
I went and watched the video's ... I think for all those chain 2's after the 2nd (?) row, she means chain 3. I hope she gets your message and fixes the written version of the pattern because it was very frustrating to get the blanket going.
DeleteJessica-Jean,
ReplyDeleteI just listened to round 4 and some of round 5. I am saying 3 double crochet in the next chain 3 space.
Sorry. The sound on my computers sucks; I began but didn't stay to hear it all. I was working from the printed instructions on the blog. I'll correct my copy of it.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Congratulations for your blog, it's very interesting. You do a very beautiful things.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Amparo
I took this pattern and made a beret! Thanks for the inspiration. Your youtube instructions led me here. I posted a picture of the beret on my blog..www.debbittybears.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks again for all this great crochet info.
I am happy to find a spiral pattern that is one piece. Thanks so much for taking time to share your crocheting talents with all of us! Great job.
ReplyDeleteI've made a couple of these already and they are just gorgeous. Thanks for all your hard work! It's easier for me to follow the written pattern once I've seen the video.
ReplyDeleteWould you be able to have 2 colors and switch between double chains, I was trying to make it look like a peppermint swirl and switch between red and white?
ReplyDeleteGreat as always!!!! Thank you for all wonderful things and all your usefull instructions!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Teresa,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your videos, I watch and learn all the time from you. However, is this spiral pattern the same as the spiral your doing in your vide to join your thread spiral. I really like that pattern, it's beautiful. I would like to make a bedspread or afghan for my daughter using that pattern. The only other one I can find is a popcorn pinwheel pattern that took 67 years to make.Lol thats a long time. I found another one from Maggie Weldon but I'm finding it difficult to understand the instructions. Do you think you could help me out? Thanks Ellen
The color is really lovely. I have made a doily in two colors combining these swirls. I used only 5 rounds and I should say it is my fav.
ReplyDeleteI posted it here

Hi Teresa. Thanks so much for posting this pattern. I'm 18 years old and have been teaching myself to crochet for the past month, and your patterns and tutorials have been so so helpful, so thank you very much. :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Kylie!
ReplyDeleteCan this be down sized to a slouch or beret hat?
