I also have a question, if that's okay. I haven't yet learned to read a filet chart- it looks difficult, but I'm working on it. When I've finally learned, I would like to use one of the simpler designs by making it into an afghan. How would I convert the chart into something that size?

Iam working on a wiggly crochet cat rug. I made the design myself and followed the instruction given for wiggly crochet rugs from Annie's Attic. Then I am making a sweater from a pattern from a Family Circle 1987. It is a rose granny square pattern. It will take 152 regular squares, 4 under arm squares. 14 folded squares and 23 triangles. I already have about 75 squares done.

ReplyDeleteHi, I've been watching your videos on Youtube. You're awesome. I first learn how to crochet from my mom. She is very good too. Now I'm kind of on my own. I've just finished an afghan with squares for my grandma. I'm working on another afghan with the afghan stitches. It's cool! But I have one question though. After finishing the square, how can I end it? Do I just fasten off and cut the yarn, or should I slip stitch in the row that I've just done? You can just e-mail me the answer at quynhanh18@gmail.com. Thank you very much!
ReplyDeletehi there, I'm currently working on a bolero for myself and a bonnet for a friend of mine. My problem is that I always engage in more than 1 project at the same time! And since I work during the day, I use some little time between dinner and bed to work on my crochets.. and it's relaxing :) Btw, I started learning crochet in october last year, so I'm still a beginner/intermediate crafter.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the Netherlands!

I am currently trying to complete 27 crocheted items for our local fair. They are due the last day of August and so far I have finished 22 of them!
ReplyDeleteI am working on 2 blankets, one is a side shell stitch I go from the linus project website. The other is a square granny afghan. When I have the chance I have been trying to teach my mother how to crochet. It's not easy since she doesn't have the internet. My mother recently showed me the stash that she took when my great grandmother died. There are magazines there from 1943! Crochet hooks and needles galore. The mess of yarn gives me shivers just thinking about it. Makes me miss my great grandmother all over again.
ReplyDeleteAnyway thanks teresa! I feel so close to my great grandmother through your videos!
Jessica!
