HDC = Half-Double Crochet
SL ST = Slip Stitch
EA = Each

Size "G" Crochet Hook
4-ply worsted weight yarn

Flower Center:
Make a Magic Circle, CH 1, DC in loop,SL ST, 6 times, join in beginning SL ST. Pull magic circle tight and make a secure knot.
Flower Petal:
ROUND 1:Make a Magic Circle, CH 10, HDC in 4th CH from HK, HDC in ea of the next 2 CH's, SC in ea of the next 3 CH's, SL ST in last chain, SL ST in magic circle loop. Make 10 Petals for first round of petals. Close circle tight, knot and secure. Leave a length of tail for sewing additional rounds.
ROUND 2:Make a Magic Circle, CH 10, HDC in 4th CH from HK, HDC in ea of the next 2 CH's, SC in ea of the next 3 CH's, SL ST in last chain, SL ST in magic circle loop. Make 15 Petals for next round of petals. Close circle tight, knot and secure. Leave a length of tail for sewing additional rounds.
Sew round 1 & 2 together. Sew on Flower center. Sew in tails.
A decorative button embellishment can be used instead of the crochet flower center.
